I was delighted to photograph two days of celebrations for Emma and Arun.
On the Friday a stunning Sikh ceremony took place at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall. Please view this gallery HERE.
Having worn a beautiful Salwar Kameez at the Sikh ceremony I was now back in my usual dark trousers and jacket. More practical for wedding photography but no where near as pretty!
On the Saturday Emma and Arun chose to have their second ceremony at the beautiful Stoke Place in Buckinghamshire. With ducks quacking, Coots and Moorhens hooting and geese waddling, this outdoor ceremony by the lake was the perfect setting for their subtle bird theme. ( Emma wore a stunning Lehnga adorned with peacocks the day before). Their story was read by 'Janey brier Celebrates' as they exchanged rings and said their vows.
As the ceremony came to an end two geese flew directed overhead, the perfect finale.
As the guests wandered around the grounds on this glorious afternoon, quiet background music was played by D & L Acoustic. After some group photos (the only time I am evident on the day) I asked the couple if they would like to take a quiet walk alone with no pressure to pose. I naturally captured this special time they spent together from a distance. They did pose a few times but only because they wanted to. I wasn't next to them telling them what to do. We had discussed their favourite spots and poses that they could do if they felt like it on the day at our pre- wedding meeting.
The table names for the wedding breakfast were all birds with floral decorations by 'Born to be a Florist'. Following a lovely meal by Stoke Place, the best man brought the speeches to an hilarious conclusion with his slide show. Paragon Roadshow supplied the entertainment in the evening and the most amazing pizzas were cooked by Dough and Deer outside in their Land Rover.
A fabulous conclusion to two days of celebrations, full of colour, traditions, different cultures , happiness and love.
